In the new trailer for Paper Year, we meet Franny (Eve Hewson) and her boyfriend Dan (Avan Jogia), a young couple who spontaneously get married, much to the disapproval of Franny’s mother Joanne (Andie MacDowell). Franny gets a job as a writer on a game show, and there she meets head writer Noah (Hamish Linklater). He invites her out for drinks and reveals he’s married. As her crush for Noah develops into an affair, her relationship with Dan begins to fall apart. She tells her mom, “The first year of marriage is the hardest” and Joanne responds, “The first year should be your best.”
