In the trailer for Queen & Slim, Slim (Daniel Kaluuya) and Queen (Jodie Turner-Smith) have just enjoyed a quiet first date when they're pulled over by the police for a minor traffic violation. Things go wrong very quickly when the police officer is shot. With the incident captured on video by the dashboard cam located in the police car, the two are forced to go on the run and are quickly dubbed the black Bonnie & Clyde.
