In the premiere trailer for Snatched, Emily (Amy Schumer) toasts to her upcoming South American adventure with her boyfriend (Randall Park). Unfortunately, her excitement is soon derailed as he informs her that is no longer going on the trip with her, in addition to brutally breaking up with her. She begs for him to stay, while awkwardly forcing a kiss, but he cruelly pushes her face away. Emily immediately goes to her mother's (Goldie Hawn) house for some post-break-up consolation. While wallowing in her ugly cat t-shirt, Emily rummages through some old photo albums, where she discovers pictures of her mother as a young 20-something. After realizing how fun her mother used to be, Emily has the bright idea to go to go on a family trip instead. After some heavy persuasion, mother and daughter are on a flight to the warm and sunny climes of South America. However, things don't necessarily go according to plan as they become embroiled in a nefarious kidnapping plot by a dangerous drug cartel.
