In the first trailer for The Goldfinch, Theo (Ansel Elgort) reminisces about spending time with his mother when he was younger. Haunted by the memory of how she was suddenly killed at a museum when a terrorist bomb went off, just steps away from Theo (played as a boy by Oakes Fegley), the young man struggles with anxiety and survivor's guilt and decides to do something about it.
