The trailer for the documentary film The King opens to the patriotic American song, "My Country, 'Tis of Thee." A car is traveling down the road, and a boy bicycles beside, asking if that's really Elvis Presley's Rolls Royce. When he's told it is, he's obviously impressed. Various people across America talk about Elvis and what he meant to them. Including a black man who claims Elvis, despite being inspired by black music, was a racist. Alec Baldwin is shown talking about how America does bad things. The trailer then begins to focus on how the country has gone to hell.
