The Last Word - Official Trailer

In the official trailer for The Last Word, Harriet Lauler (Shirley MacLaine) exits her large home on a bright day. She walks toward her gardener Louie and says, "Louie, no, no, no. You do not trim these hedges from top to bottom, but from bottom to top. As we've discussed." She is particular about how she likes things done and enjoys being in control.

As the trailer continues, we meet Anne Sherman (Amanda Seyfried), a writer at the Bristol Gazette. Harriet enlists Anne's services to write her obituary, even though she's still alive. Harriet gives Anne a list of 100 people to contact for information about how Harriet has lived her life. But Anne quickly discovers almost no one looks upon Harriet favorably.

The end of the trailer features Harriet trying to make a positive impact on the lives of strangers so Anne has something redeeming to include in Harriet's obituary.
