In the official teaser trailer for The Lost City of Z, we hear the sound of gently flowing water as a man says, "There's an exploration afoot." A different man then says, "Terrible disease, murder, savages...the journey may well mean your life."
As the teaser continues, we see Col. Percival Fawcett (Charlie Hunnam) aboard a boat. He looks to the sky, watches a flock of birds fly, and travels up river on the Amazon. Once he exits the boat, he and his companions are attacked. They try to outrun the unknown assailants, but they fail. At the trailer's close, a calm voice says, "Your soul will never be quiet until you find this place. It is your destiny."
