In the official trailer for the movie The Mountain Between Us, Ben Bass (Idris Elba) is at the airport and determined to fly to Baltimore to perform an emergency surgery. Alex Martin (Kate Winslet) overhears his conversation, and is stuck in a similar predicament. She suggests an idea, and we then see the two having a chat with a pilot (Beau Bridges). Next, we see the pair on a small plane that is flying over the mountains. They are chatting and admiring the sights when the plane starts to go down and eventually crashes. The two are alive, but stranded in the middle of nowhere and must make a decision. They either stay and wait for help or try to escape the wilderness.
