When a white woman is beaten and raped while out on a run, the only evidence found is video surveillance of her passing by Central Park where she crossed the paths of several young black men. With no other suspects, the NYPD round them up and coerce them into a confession. Heading to trial, a clear picture of guilt is painted on them by the prosecution. Dubbed "The Central Park Five," they find themselves in for the fight of their lives against a legal and justice system that routinely fails young black men.
