In this trailer for Wonderstruck, Ben (Oakes Fegley) asks his mother about his father, but she puts his question off. Soon after, she dies in an accident without ever having told Ben where to find his father. When lightening strikes the house, Ben is left deaf. We then go back in time and see a girl who is also deaf. She cuts off her hair, much to her father's displeasure. Ben follows clues that he hopes will lead him to his father in the city. Meanwhile, the girl goes to the city looking for her mother.
