In the trailer for Considering Love and Other Magic, a teenage girl named Jessie (Maddie Phillips) is hired to tutor a teenager named Tommy (Ryan Grantham). When she looks at the books he's using to study from, she finds they're incredibly outdated. Tommy tells her he's an illusion, that the elderly woman who lives there invented him on her typewriter. To add to the mystery, she finds a vintage magazine that features a photo of Tommy. When Tommy begins to fall in love with Jessie, who has begun a relartionship with a boy at school, Tommy's jealousy leads to strange occurrences.
