Sylvester Stallone and producer Irwin Winkler talks about how although they considered the Rocky franchise to be concluded, that changed when they were approached by Ryan Coogler with a spinoff for Rocky that would create a whole new audience by continuing Rocky's story in a fresh light from a different viewpoint. Coogler reveals that he was inspired by his father, who was a huge Rocky fan, and describes his first meeting with Stallone, while Michael B. Jordan talks about taking on the lead character of up-and-coming boxer Adonis Creed, son of Rocky's former opponent, Apollo Creed.
