Vivian (Hadley Robinson) tends to avoid attention and not get involved in the sexist and toxic antics that frequently take place at her high school. Her classmate (Alycia Pascual-Peña) gets constantly harassed by a boy (Patrick Schwarzenegger) at school, but doesn't receive any help from the staff, who are reluctant to give attention to the issue. Vivian, who no longer wants to be a bystander, looks to her mom's rebellious past for inspiration. She then creates a zine called Moxie to expose the wrongdoings at her high school and hopefully inspire change.
