Pinocchio starts off as a wooden marionette, brought to life by woodworker Gepetto's wish and granted by the blue fairy. Before Pinocchio can become a real boy, he must pass the challenges presented to him on his adventures and prove himself unselfish, brave and truthful. Pinocchio is assigned companion Jiminy Cricket by the blue fairy to give offer help and guidance.
