Aussie actor Chris Hemsworth stole away our hearts with his blond locks and impressive physique as mighty superhero Thor, but he came close to losing the role to his younger brother Liam Hemsworth. In a recent interview with W magazine, Chris revealed that he’d auditioned for the role, but didn’t get it. However, Liam was among five final contenders for the role, but it was finally decided that “none of them were quite right.” Chris recalled: “My manager said, ‘If you liked Liam, maybe you’ll also like his older brother.’” He admitted that he’d been starstruck during his first audition for director Kenneth Branagh, who’s famous for his roles in Shakespeare productions, but when he was called in again for the role, “This time, I was pissed off. I didn’t care about Shakespeare anymore; swagger got me the part.”
