Dune: Part Two debuts in top spot at weekend box office

Three new movies debuted on Friday, with two taking spots in the top five. Check below to see the results.

Dune: Part Two starring Timothée Chalamet was the box office champion this weekend, taking in an impressive $81.5 million in its opening weekend.

After two weekends at the top, Bob Marley: One Love dropped a spot to second, earning an additional $7.4 million for a three-week total of $82.8 million.

Ordinary Angels starring Hilary Swank held onto third place, earning an additional $3.9 million for a two-week total of $12.6 million.

The superhero film Madame Web starring Dakota Johnson took in another $3.2 million for a three-week total of $40.4 million.

Rounding out the top five was The Chosen: Season 4 – Episodes 7-8, with $3.2 million for a total of $3.9 million since it opened on Thursday.
