Gwen Stefani to host X Factor

The popular American show X-Factor has been appearing in various headlines over the last few months. Once the first season was complete, host Steve Jones and judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger were let go. This resulted in several celebrities saying they wanted to be one of the new judges or host to fill the three vacant spots. CEO of FremantleMedia, Cecile Frot-Coutaz, revealed there would be four available positions in the music competition show. “Simon’s vision was always to have a man and woman host this to make it feel a little bit like an award ceremony. A glamorous girl and a good-looking guy doing a kind of double act. There was no way around it.” This meant Simon was busy and had to fill all four positions with qualified and well-liked celebrities before season two begins. Last month, Britney Spears signed as one of the judges for a hefty sum of $15 million dollars each season, while  Demi Lovato has also finalized a judging spot. Now Gwen Stefani has reportedly been signed as one of the hosts for seven million. The reports have not yet been confirmed nor has the amount she was looking to be paid. If these rumors are true there is only one spot left to fill and it’s for a male. Who could be it — any ideas? ~Krystin Edgerton
