Ice Age steals box office top spot

The animated family flick Ice Age: Continental Drift, the fourth installment in the Ice Age franchise, debuted this weekend with an impressive $46 million and a Tribute.ca user rating of 3.8 stars out of 5. The film surprisingly even beat out Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield in The Amazing Spider-Man, which was pushed to second with $35 million and 3.6 stars. Seth McFarlane‘s R-rated comedy Ted dropped one spot to third but still managed to rake in $22.1 million and is still a hit with Tribute.ca users, who gave it 4.3 stars. Coming in fourth was another animated family film, Brave. For its fourth week in theaters, it brought in an additional $10.7 million and 3.9 stars. Channing Tatum, Matthew McConaughey, Alex Pettyfer and the rest of the boys round out the top five with their movie Magic Mike. It earned another $9 million but only got 2.7 stars on Tribute.ca.
