Robin Thicke trying to save his marriage – cancels concerts

Despite the announcement earlier this week from Paula Patton that her eight-year marriage to Blurred Lines singer Robin Thicke was over, Robin has cancelled three concerts and rushed to her side in an attempt to win her back. Robin’s risqué, attention-grabbing performance with Miley Cyrus at the MTV VMAs reportedly took a toll on their marriage. According to Us Weekly, a source revealed, “The Miley Cyrus fiasco was a big test of their relationship. He asked her to help him out as a friend and a wife, and defend him and the performance. He begged her to speak out for him and be there for him.” The source continued, “She agreed to be the good wife after he begged and pleaded,” the source explains. “Then he asked her to stick with him through awards season, and she agreed. She attended the Grammys with him as a favor.”

According to reports, Paula told Robin she wanted a divorce on Friday last week. On hearing this, he flew to her side to convince her otherwise. He is trying to save his marriage as he doesn’t want his son, Julian, to grow up in separate homes. Robin released a statement on his website: “I want to thank everyone for the well wishes these last few days. My fans mean everything to me. I’m looking forward to getting back on out on the road.” A source told TMZ that while Robin is set to resume his tour, he is planning on being on his best behavior.  Clearly, he’s trying to fix the blurred lines in his marriage. ~Marriska Fernandes
