Where to spot celebs at TIFF!

Restaurants and stores in Yorkville will soon be buzzing with Hollywood celebrities.  If you want to see stars once the Toronto International Film Festival has begun, they can usually be spotted during the day getting their caffeine fix in Yorkville coffee shops like Starbucks, Lettieri or Second Cup. In the evening, or for lunch, you could make a reservation at Sassafraz or Bistro 990, where stars like Jude Law, Nicolas Cage and Dan Aykroyd have been spotted. Pangaea has also seen a number of famous diners, including Bono, Diane Keaton and Kevin Kline.

Sotto Sotto is a popular spot for stars such as Anthony Hopkins and Eugene Levy. Celebrities have also been known to dine at Bymark, Joso’s, One and Amber. Other tried-and-true restaurants include the Ultra Supper Club, The Drake Hotel, W Studio, L’Atelier, Kultura, Lobby and Maro, which have also hosted afterparties at TIFF.

For drinks, try checking out the Roof Lounge, located on the roof of the Park Hyatt, or you could go across the street to Avenue in the Four Seasons hotel. Another possibility is the Windsor Arms Hotel, which has been credited as the birthplace of the festival. And don’t forget, if you spot any stars, be sure to tell us all about your encounters!
