It was all about Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, who stepped onto the red carpet to a tizzy of screams and hollers from fans, many of whom were waiting all day for the popular pair. Both looked ever the fresh-faced movie stars, with Emma in a yellow shift dress with daisy appliqué, and Ryan sporting a navy patterned suit.
Directed by Whiplash's Damien Chazelle, La La Land follows a jazz pianist named Sebastian (played by Ryan) who falls in love with a beautiful aspiring actress named Mia (played by Emma). J.K. Simmons, Rosemarie DeWitt, and John Legend co-star in the highly anticipated musical.
The reviews for the film and its stars have been pretty spectacular so far, with Emma already earning the Volpi Cup for Best Actress at the 73rd Venice Film Festival.
Following its dazzling premiere here in Toronto, La La Land is set to hit theaters on December 2.
