Cineplex Odeon Aurora Cinemas
Located more than 20km north of Toronto, the Aurora Cinemas were the first in the quickly-growing region. Opening in December 2005 on the same weekend as The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, the theatre also kickstarted its grand opening with a community-run Family Fun Day, where Christmas-themed films were screened, and proceeds of concessions given to the Aurora Chapter of Child Find Ontario. Beyond the traditional popcorn, soft drinks and hot fast food goodies, a Cinescape family entertainment centre offers young kids the chance to play many interactive video games and activities—without the purchase of a movie ticket. Beyond the lobby, 2,186 comfortable seats await those who choose to trek beyond the arcade and Outtakes pizza.
