Fifteen years after they were nearly killed by a witch with a gingerbread house, Hansel and Gretel have become lethal bounty hunters who are devoted to hunting and eliminating all witches who make their hideouts in dark woods.
As the notorious Blood Moon approaches, the innocent children of a familiar town on the edge of a forest face a nightmare. Hansel & Gretel meet up with an evil beyond any witch they've ever tracked down and killed—and it may hold the secret to their frightening past.
What a great escape and twist on a classic fairytail. This movie will definitely be an Tannual Halloween movie in our house. The 3D is fantastic and draws you in. I was on the edge of my seat!!!
Loved it! It was suspensful, action packed and the visual effects were outstanding. This movie made for a great date night for my husband and I. The make-up was surreal and the witches were so life like, it made me spooked!!!
Gruesomely Grimm w/ a modern grwist. enjoyed plot w/ a 'don't eat bad candy from creepy predators' all who r wicked women (super ugly; no 'kind hags' here), unfortunately a bit misogynistic (the most wicked r females) & misandronistic (the stupidest r males). good thing both brother-sister duo have a 'good secret side' unknown 2 them 2 balance things off. lots of gory action but a bit blurry in IMAX 3D, contradicting strengths/weaknesses where witches r 'super' but still fall 2 basic brawl fisticuffs? black magic powers untapped, zap powers w/o wands? what gives? plus a nice yummy mini-romance thrown in. semi-funny but worth the see. 3D was 'ok'. lol
