The King And I Movie Synopsis
Richardson lends her voice to the character of Anna, the teacher who is sent to Siam in 1863 to tutor the many children of the imperious and arrogant King. The original screen King was played to perfection by Yul Brynner in the live action 1956 version of the Rodgers and Hammerstein Broadway musical based on the novel, Anna and the King of Siam by Margaret Landon.
