Jim Caviezel survives motorcycle crash

Jim CaviezelJim Caviezel, who played Jesus in Mel Gibson’s hit movie The Passion of the Christ crashed his Harley-Davidson last week in Washington when a man threw a bicycle in front of his wheels. “Mr. Caviezel was riding his motorcycle on I-97 and a pedestrian pushing a bicycle for some reason threw it into the lane of travel,” Washington State Patrol officer Rich Magnussen told E! News. Caviezel, 40, was thrown from his bike but sustained only minor injuries. “Luckily he had all the proper safety equipment on,” said the trooper. “He was treated at a nearby hospital and released.” David Nelson, 42, who is believed to be mentally unbalanced, was identified as the man who threw the bike. He was charged with assault and reckless endangerment. This was Caviezel’s second brush with death — while filming The Passion of the Christ, he was struck by lightening. A devout Christian who prefers to stay out of the limelight, Caviezel can currently be seen in The Stoning of Soraya M. on the big screen, and has signed on for a remake of the popular 1960s TV mini-series The Prisoner, co-starring Ian McKellen. Caviezel will play Number Six, the role originated by Patrick McGoohan.

Re-making The Prisoner is awesome. They should have Iron Maiden on the soundtrack.
