Inception and Salt lead the box office

Salt, Angelina Jolie’s newest action flick earned an estimated $36.5 million in its opening weekend. Although a great start for the well-reviewed action/spy thriller, it was Leonardo DiCaprio’s trippy movie Inception that stayed on top for the second week in a row with $43.5 million.

The animated flick, Despicable Me, starring Steve Carell, came in at number three taking in $24.1 million.

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Disney, $9.7 million this weekend, $42.6 million over two weeks;

Toy Story 3, Disney/Pixar, $9 million this weekend, $379.5 million over six weeks;

Ramona and Beezus, Fox, debuting with an $8 million premiere this weekend;

Grown Ups, Sony/Columbia, $7.6 million this weekend, $142.4 million over five weeks;

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Summit, $7 million this weekend, $279.7 million over four weeks;

The Last Airbender, Paramount, $4.2 million this weekend, $123.4 million over four weeks

Predators, Fox, $2.9 million this weekend, $46.6 million over three weeks.

    Im not surprised, Leo is a great actor, and really hot too.
    But I do want to see Salt, it looks really good. Im looking forward to seeing it!
