Margot Robbie to replace Kristen Stewart as Will Smith co-star

By Tribute on July 17, 2013 | 1 Comment

Rising star Margot Robbie has been chosen to replace Kristen Stewart as the female lead opposite Will Smith in the Warner Bros. film Focus, according to Variety. The 23-year-old Australian beauty reportedly beat actresses like Jessica Biel and Olivia Munn for the role of an inexperienced female con artist who teams up with a seasoned con artist (played by Will Smith).

Prior to Kristen, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone were selected to star in the lead roles, but scheduling conflicts got in the way so they were never signed on. Ben Affleck was then chosen as the male lead opposite Kristen, but he dropped out to direct Live By Night instead. Best known to audiences as one of the stars of the short-lived series, Pan Am, Margot will next be seen alongside Leonardo DiCaprio this fall in The Wolf of Wall Street. ~Alfonso Espina
