Boston native Mark Wahlberg expressed his sadness and distress about the Boston marathon attacks at the New York premiere of his new film last night.
The actor, whose latest movie Pain & Gain is opening next week, was not in the mood to promote the film, admitting, “I really didn’t even want to come tonight,” to the press on the red carpet.
The film teams Mark with Dwayne Johnson as a pair of bodybuilders who get involved in an underground extortion ring.
Mark (pictured at left at last night’s premiere) grew up in Boston and still has a lot of family there. “I hadn’t really heard much — I spoke to my mom, and most of my family seems to be okay…It’s horrible, man. It’s [expletive] disgusting, man. I just — I’m very upset.”
The actor is leaning heavily on his faith in this time of tragedy, telling reporters, “You try to put everything in God’s hands and whatever happens here is out of our control and there’s a bigger picture. But it’s still obviously upsetting.” The FBI has stepped in to investigate the bombing that left three people dead and hundreds more injured. ~Liz Deciano

Pray for Boston
Thats a file photo people…..
I’ve spent time in Boston and the city is awesome and beautiful and the people are exceptionally loyal to Boston. When the people/person is caught, watch out. They are just as vicious as they are loyal.
This was a really good post.
It’s a tragedy.
I feel for the people of Boston. I’m sure many movies will be made about this.
