Taylor Swift crashes wedding, refuses to leave

Country singer Taylor Swift and new boyfriend, Conor Kennedy, allegedly crashed a Kennedy wedding this past weekend and they refused to leave even when they were asked to do so by the mother of the bride. The wedding, which was held on Saturday, was for Liam Kerr and Kyle Kennedy, daughter of Michael Kennedy and Victoria Gifford Kennedy. Mother of the bride Victoria did not want Swift at the wedding because she didn’t want attention taken away from her daughter. Victoria told The Boston Herald, “They texted me an hour before the wedding and asked if they could come. I responded with a very clear, ‘Please do not come.’
“They came anyway… I personally went up to Ms. Swift, whose entrance distracted the entire event, politely introduced myself to her, and asked her as nicely as I could to leave. It was like talking to a ghost. She seemed to look right past me.” Despite these claims, Swift’s spokesperson Paula Erikson denied Victoria’s rendition of the events. Erikson insisted, “There is no truth to that. Taylor was invited to the wedding and the bride thanked her profusely for being there.” ~Isabelle Khoo

One should not even ask to be invited to a wedding if they wanted you there you would have rec’d an invite … if this was my daughter’s wedding only one polite request would have been given after that security would have removed you and think of the pictures after that

Taylor had let success go to her head and yes she is acting like a rude spoiled brat. She certainly is not the perfect little goody, goody that she tries to portray.

I don’t know what to believe. But I can see it that Taylor’s celebrity status would over shadow the brides day.
Taylor Swift has a great voice that said. When she was asked to leave she should have shown respect and removed herself from the building.Sorry fans I really think this girl loves herself too much, is a phoney without a true personality which she showed by not showing any sensitivity to a mother on her daughters wedding day!
SHE did not know she was not inivted….her boyfriend brought her anyways even knowing his aunt did not want the extra attention Taylor would bring…THIS was not HER fault.

Sorry but something doesnt add up here. These are Kennedy’s we’re talking about, one of the most influential families in the US. If the mother of the bride had in fact requested that she leave, you can bet she’d be gone in one way or another. If it was my daughter’s wedding and I wanted someone gone from it, you can make damn sure the’d be gone. In this case, either the bride intervened cause she wanted her there, or the whole thing never happened, The mom saw the Swift was getting some attention and made this story cause she’ll be damned if she’s upstaged at a gathering she had planned.
Who really cares?? Does every little thing make the news now? Isn’t anything private anymore??
Oh please, as if the bride didn’t want her there. Sounds more like her mother was just taking it upon herself to make a her own call. I don’t recall feeling like I wanted all “eyes” to be on me at my wedding. It was a special day for me, but it wouldn’t have mattered who walked through the door, nothing would’ve changed that!
Well I guess Taylor won’t mind wedding crashers at her own wedding!!! And won’t get her security to toss them out on their asses! Remember… what goes around comes around!
Doesn’t surprise me. She can’t sing, is homely, and seems like a stuck snotty little b–ch. No doubt…baby Kennedy boy will dump her, then she’ll be on the prowl for her next little piece of candy.

I think that before anyone judges Taylor and her boyfriend, maybe the bride’s mother should show the texts that are involved. Also why would the bride’s mother be going to the press about this. Makes no sense either way. It’s all she says, she says, show the texts.
I think that this story is ridiculous. Where’s the bride’s side of the story? How can this be judged without the most important side of the story? The side of the story that is missing from this piece of news.
I reserve the right to make any judgements until I hear the bride’s side. That’s just me though.

Your life must be real exciting, when you have to crash a wedding, and then are too dense to leave when asked to. What she needed was just a short, sharp, shot… Works every time! No muss, no fuss.
I agree with Caleb on this one. How can you judge something without ALL of the facts? There’s only half the story here… and it just doesn’t add up.
I think the mother of the bride could be looking for attention, and she certainly got it! I am much more prone to believe that Taylor was invited by the bride and perhaps asked to leave by the M.O.B., which only served to make a big scene.
The Kennedy woman says one thing, Taylor says something else, we don’t know all the facts and shouldn’t assume Miss Swift has gone all diva based on one woman’s accusations.
1) The only people talking to the press are named Gifford. The mother of the bride is almost certain to be bat s___ crazy. Goggle Vicky Gifford Kennedy. She caught the bride’s father in bed with an underage baby sitter. The guy was an alcoholic sex crazed, train wreck as most Kennedy men are. This woman would not be human if she wasn’t bat s___ crazy by now. The only Kennedy blood mentioned in this story are Conor and the bride.
1A) Fans will recall that the Today Show (Kathy Lee) has in the past had the first exclusive on Taylor Swift when she released an album. What has changed with this album, Swift has given the exclusive rights to Good Morning America. Including live performances, and Kathy Lee has lost the top ratings getter in music. She better hope Taylor doesn’t move to NYC any time soon. She won’t be invited anywhere Taylor is after this back stabbing foray.
2) Either Taylor didn’t know she wasn’t welcome or Conor convinced her to go anyway. But in any case, Taylor was a GUEST of someone who was invited. The RSVP thing was a ruse. These are Kennedys at a posh Boston hotel. So the RSVP thing is a joke. Assume Conor had a +1 invite, assume they did RSVP, what has changed, it’s Taylor Swift, an invitation won’t switch the attention from Taylor.
3) Assume once Taylor got there, fans, guests, and friends of Conor and the bride wanted her to stay, which for sure happened. Duh! So by the time Conor sorted the whole mess out Taylor had been there being nice for quite a while. Why isn’t she asking Conor to get her the heck outta there. Who is rude? Taylor or MOB asking Taylor, a guest of Conor (family) to leave. Smell anything stinky here folks?
If the mother of the bride really had a brain, she would have said yes, please come, but come later after all the toasts, speeches, and the bride has met and thanked everyone. Receptions are boring as hell, that’s why people get drunk and do stupid things at them. MOB should have asked them to come later and asked Taylor to perform a song for the couple.
At any rate Taylor won’t say another word on this no matter what. She’ll just let the back stabbers hang themselves. She will get more famous, and more rich, and she won’t be doing any catty Kennedys by marriage favors `any time soon, fair or not.
These people made the same mistake Kanye did, their heads are so big they don’t understand how big, and connected Taylor Swift is. She can buy and sell most of the Kennedy clan, especially the ones who married into it. When is the last time you read about a Kennedy with a real Job?

Surprised?! Certainly not! Just another over-inflated ego grabbing for publicity. She tries to come off as a wholesome, clean-cut every day girl next door. As with others in her genre and age group, she believes she is special. The best thing that could have happened would have been to have her removed by law officers. People like her have no class these days. So many of the young “stars” could take some real lessons from those such as Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Aniston and Keanu Reeves who have handled issues privately and without having to be on every front page or every twitter or electronic page going. You are giving the genres you represent bad names. GROW UP!
It doesn’t matter. He was sent an invitation to an event. He did not reply in the appropriate manner and time. There is money, seating, decorum and other issues involved here. This is just a case of two over-inflated egos behaving inappropriately. When asked to leave, they should have. If they didn’t, then they should have been removed by law enforcement. Looking for publicity of any kind is not necessary and these two were certainly looking to get their names in the news in one way or another. Was she ignorant of the situation? I highly doubt it. Everyone knows that crashing an event without the proper invite and proper response to said invite is rude. Doesn’t matter that he was invited, he didn’t send the appropriate response and therefore, should not have shown up!
Let me clue you guys in. Two years ago, Taylor Swift was in Kennebunkport, ME where she did a personal favor for and met President George HW Bush, the Bush family Patriarch.
Two years later, Taylor has met and done a personal favor for Kennedy family matriarch, Ethel Kennedy (she helped promote her HBO biopic at Sundance), now she is hanging out with, her grandson, Conor, son of RFK Jr. RFK was the bride and Conor’s grandfather and Ethel is their grandmother.
Blood is thicker than marriage and the bride and Conor are the blood. It gets better than that. RFK Jr., is a congressman and his pet issue is global warming. Oh gee, didn’t Taylor do a climate change movie with Zac Efron called the LORAX? Oh gee, what a coincidence. Was Ethel Kennedy at that wedding, me thinks not. Why, because even though the bride’s father was a train wreck, blood is thicker than marriage and guess who gets blamed by the blood for the father’s wreck and demise?
The wife of the train wrecked deceased Michael Kennedy, brother of RFK Jr., is the lady who booted Taylor Swift out of his cousin’s wedding.
It get’s better, now let’s talk about the Groom, Liam Kerr. He is on a political career path his job’s are all involved in politics and education. the bride is a graduate student studying education.
So there you go, Conor’s father RFK Jr, is the most powerful politician left in the Kennedy clan.

So who is spending weekends with Conor and the blood family? Answer, Taylor Swift.
Who at that wedding knows the most important people in the most important families in the groom’s political career path? Conor Kennedy and Taylor Swift.
Taylor doesn’t pick sides, she greases the entire wheel, politics, music, Hollywood, and media.
I think both Kathy Lee and Victoria were bitches! So unclassy to be bringing this up in public and to be bashing someone who was the date….maybe they should have talked to Conor in private and not in the public eye…..Very unclassy of both those women….i guess being a Kennedy doesn’t give you any extra class…and well Kathy Lee has always been a bitch. So what he didn’t RSVP maybe they were just going to stop around wish the couple best wishes – and it’s not like he wasn’t invited
How much of this was Conor behind??? He’s a Kennedy, no doubt a family member & maybe felt entitled to be there. Why is all the focus on Taylor instead of him – they were BOTH crashing it if it really happened. If the mother had any discretion she shouldn’t have made an issue at her daughter’s wedding. After all, a wedding is supposed to be the happiest day for a bride & groom to remember. Why was the mother causing upsets at it? Talk about taking attention away from her daughter!!! Conor might have been the propeller behind the whole issue but the not so swift but more popular Taylor is taking the backlash for it all just because of her greater popularity than Conor’s.
Maybe all would have been forgiven if she sang a few songs for the bride and groom…
Obviously, many of the people replying have not planned a wedding. Table seatings (among other things – details too numerous to mention)take a great deal of work for a wedding to run smoothly and r.s.v.p.’s are very important. This is a very special occasion in the lives of the principals. If someone doesn’t reply, unless there are special circumstances (this one sounds like it was just, “What the heck?”), the planner assumes the invitee is declining. The bride’s mother must have dealt with the young man before – he sounds like an irresponsible, rude person who feels that social etiquette does not apply to him. The classy thing for them to do was leave. I think that both of them just figured they were too important for common courtesy. I agree with the bride’s mother.
