Tom Cruise: I never ‘abandoned’ Suri

Tom Cruise, 51, has filed a declaration that claims he maintains a close connection to his daughter Suri in a defamation lawsuit against Bauer Publishing Company. Life and Style and In Touch magazines published reports in October 2012 that claim Cruise hasn’t been able to sustain a relationship with Suri due to film shoots. “I have in no way cut Suri out of my life – whether physically, emotionally, financially or otherwise,” he wrote in the declaration. “While I’m sure my daughter misses me when I am not with her (as I miss her), she is a very happy child.” Cruise further stated Suri “has never indicated, in words or substance, that she has ever felt abandoned by me.” Cruise divorced wife Katie Holmes last year after six years of marriage. He claims he communicates with his ex-wife regularly for updates on Suri. Cruise’s lawyers are asking the judge to declare Bauer did not have any sources to make the libelous claims. Bauer’s lawyers claim the lawsuit should be dropped due to statements that were made by confidential sources that back the reports in the above-mentioned magazines.~Raj-Kabir Birk

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One starring Tom Cruise is a non-stop action-filled adventure with plenty of stunts and an entertaining plot.
What is it with this credibility given to the word “source”? So what? The question is how credible is the source? Are Tom’s lawyers saying there was no source or no CREDIBLE source? L&S are saying they have sources. Well I’m sure they do as does any information whether true or false, and just because a source is protected does not in any way automatically deem the source on the side of truth. Tom has not, to my knowledge, endured allegations from the mothers of his children for being a dead beat Dad. Controlling, sure, but honestly, it’s a wicked business and I wish more people in the business practiced more control…of themselves and their own careers. Ok, I like how this article says:

It should read that Katie Holmes divorced Tom Cruise after six years of marriage. Since she was the one to file for divorce from him, not the other way around -and- she was VERY intelligent about it and he way it was done to ensure she maintained primary custody of her daughter, not Tom Cruise and not the church of Scientology…….
Smart cookie she is, especially having a Dad that is a lawyer and playing to Toms very guarded “private” life……which of course many believe they know EXACTLY why that is…..
