Chris Massoglia Biography

CHRIS MASSOGLIA

Date of Birth: March 29, 1992

Chris Massoglia was introduced to acting through workshops at a local dance school in Minneapolis. Having enrolled in an acting class, and following a nationwide casting call, Massoglia was one of three youngsters flown to New York to audition for a feature film opposite Nicole Kidman. While there, Massoglia signed with an agency for representation in NYC and Los Angeles, and he began to work steadily in television with a guest role on NBC's Law & Order: Criminal Intent and a recurring role on NBC's Medical Investigation (credited as Chris Kelly). He then landed regular roles on TNT's Wanted (credited as Chris J. Kelly) and TBS' Boy's Life.

In 2007, Massoglia made his feature debut with a lead role in the family film A Plumm Summer (2007), which received a limited release in the U.S. His next film, The Hole (2009), premiered at the 2009 Venice and Toronto International film festivals. Massoglia's first starring role in a major release was opposite John C. Reilly in Universal's Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant (2009).

In 2008, Massoglia was named one of the "10 Actors to Watch" in Variety's Young Talent issue. He continues to live with his family in Minneapolis.
