KATHRYN HAHN
Date of Birth: July 23, 1974
Born in Illinois, Kathryn Hahn grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. She received her Bachelors
degree from Northwestern University and her Masters in Fine Arts from the Yale School of
Drama.
She was working in theater at the Williamstown Theater Festival when she was
"discovered" by an NBC casting director. Producer/writer/series creator Tim Kring took a
huge leap of faith and created the role of Lily Lebowski for her in the crime TV series
Crossing Jordan (2001 to 2007).
During hiatus from the series each year, Kathryn began getting roles on the big screen,
appearing in major motion pictures such as How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,
Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron
Burgundy, The Holiday and The Last Mimzy. Since
Crossing Jordan finished production, she's played John C. Reilly's outrageous and
funny love interest Alice in Step Brothers and Kate Winslet and Leonardo
DiCaprio's neighbor Milly Campbell in Revolutionary Road.
Kathryn made her Broadway debut in 2008 in the Tony-winning play Boeing-Boeing
alongside Bradley Whitford, Gina Gershon, Mary McCormack, Christine Baranski and Mark
Rylance.
Other film roles include My Idiot Brother, in which she plays the
spiteful ex-girlfriend of the main character, Ned (Paul Rudd), and
Wanderlust, also starring Rudd, as well as Jennifer Aniston. Kathryn
plays Karen, an eccentric damaged mother who is a member of a commune.
Kathryn and her husband, actor Ethan Sandler, live in Los Angeles. They have two
children a boy, Leonard and a girl, Mae. When Kathryn was pregnant with Leonard, it
was written into the storyline of Crossing Jordan, with her husband portraying
the baby's father. When she's not working, Kathruyn enjoys painting and practicing yoga.
