Landmark Cinemas 10 EXTRA Orleans
The first theatre in the chain to have all digital auditoriums and the only all-digital multiplex east of Toronto, this multiplex was formerly owned by Empire as a replacement theatre for another Empire movie house (formerly a Cineplex Odeon) at Orleans Town Centre. It was the largest theatre under the Empire banner in the Ottawa area and has since been purchased by Landmark. It features stadium seating, reclining chairs and rooms to host birthday parties, and community and corporate events. Opening on the same weekend in December 2009 as blockbuster hit Avatar, the theatre—which has multiple screens with 3D capability—is a popular destination for local movie lovers.
