Anne Hathaway gets smart — dumps boyfriend

Get Smart star Anne Hathaway has dumped her longterm boyfriend Raffaello Follieri, according to Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper. The two had been dating for four years, but in the past year, Follieri has been the center of various scandals, including an investigation of the children’s charity he runs being investigated by New York authorities. Earlier this year he was arrested for passing a bad cheque. Last year, he was sued by a former business partner. A source told the paper: “It’s heartbreaking for her to dump him, and she’s devastated that it’s come to this, but she really didn’t have a choice. His scandals were hurting her reputation.”
Wow…she’s really standing by her man…what ever happened to love and support…I guess people in hollywood only think about themselves and their reputation…obviously..

I would’ve dumped him earlier if I were her – not because it would hurt my reputation but because he’s obviously a dishonest bum.
Congratulations! Anne probably made the best decision in this scenario. I am sure there were personal reasons as well which I and I hope others will appreciate were not mentioned to the press. In interviews and based on other comments from her peers about her she seems like a very nice person. Wish her the best of luck in the future.

come on now she stayed by tht guy for FOUR FREAKING YEARS!!!!. the guy should have known better, how many more chances does he need???. If i was her i would have dumped him a looong time ago
I personally think Anne made a wise choice. The guy is bad news. If she stuck by him, he would have gotten her in trouble. This guy is going to end up in jail. For all we know, he could be into drugs too.
You have to do what’s best for yourself when you run into a situation like this. You can’t blame her for not wanting to get mixed up in some bad happenings.
Wise choice, Anne! Once a loser always a loser! Stealing from/running bogus charities, writing bad cheques and shady business ventures….what’s next? Emptying Anne’s bank account? He truly is hurting her reputation. She is an actor and constantly in the public eye and this loser is out ripping off the public. And guess what? He probably doesn’t even give a sh!t because it is ANNE’S name that will be dragged through all the rag magazines!!

I think she made the right decision. She’s stood by her man for a long time already (Four years!) how many times does she need to back him up!? Anne is a smart girl, she’s got a good career going and she doesn’t need that in her life.
Especially when he is bouncing $215,000 cheques to his business associates!!
