Christian Bale visits Colorado shooting victims

By Tribute on July 25, 2012 | 9 Comments

Christian Bale recently joined the list of influential people to visit the survivors of the Colorado tragedy that occurred during a midnight showing of his film The Dark Knight Rises. Members of the Denver Broncos and President Obama have also visited the hospital in order to offer support and well-wishes. The most amazing part of this gesture is that Bale was not required to do anything at all. Janie Bowman-Hayes, assistant vice president of surgical services at Swedish Medical Center in Denver, remarked, “He just said he wanted to come to thank all of us because he has been thinking about this. He knows the whole world has been thinking about this. He took it upon himself to come and thank us.” She went on to say, “He did this out of his heart, and you could really tell. It was so sincere. It was just, ‘thank you’.” Warner Bros. confirmed that this was all Bale’s idea, telling The Denver Post that “Bale was representing himself, not the movie studio.” Before leaving Colorado, he also took time to visit the makeshift memorial outside the Aurora theater to pay respects to those lost in the shooting. ~Morgan Bates

He’s such a good actor, how could one know if his thanks were truly genuine?

I’m sure he flew there on his own dime and spent his time to be genuine. I highly doubt he was promoting anything. This was about the victims. Good on ya Bale.
