Corey FeldmanFormer child star Corey Feldman, who currently appears on the reality series The Two Coreys, says he was exploited as a child actor during the 1980s, when he was starring in big screen hits such as The Goonies and The Lost Boys. However, he doesn’t blame Hollywood for his problems. He told Metro: “It wasn’t the industry’s fault, it was my parents’. They should have been more responsible and laid the groundwork for me to build a healthy adult life. I was fortunate enough to continue my career, but that’s due to my tireless dedication. It was a very difficult time.” Feldman added that he is “opposed to the idea of creating child stars,” claiming that finding fame early can leave a young actor “a shell of a person and unable to live a healthy adult life.” Feldman, 37, who began his career at three, has beat a drug addicition and is now married and the father of a four-year-old boy.

I agree with him. The majority of actors who started out as child actors have had pretty messed up lives. I’m not a ‘Feldman fan’, but I think his mother treated him horribly as a child.
