“House” star robbed at gunpoint

Kal PennKal Penn, who starred in the TV series House and the Harold & Kumar movies was robbed at gunpoint in Washington D.C. on Tuesday. The thief stole Penn’s wallet and two cell phones. The Secret Service has been called in on the case because one of the cell phones belongs to the U.S. goverment. Penn is currently on a break from acting and is serving as a  member of President Barack Obama’s staff as the Associate Director in the Office of Public Engagement. Sources told TMZ that White House communications stopped service on the stolen phone, which they claim had no official numbers, and have issued Penn a new cell. ~Alexandra Heilbron

Why is the Secret Service trying to get the phone back if it didn’t have any official numbers on there? I’m guessing there were tons of “official” numbers on it but they don’t want to admit it.

The only phone numbers in the phone were for White Castle…and it was Harold who stole the phone.

Actually the sources were bribed or been controlled over by the Secrete Service WHICH they captured the thief who was probably tortured and eventually killed by them and KUMAR was involved 😉

You know its true, “White House communications stopped service on the stolen phone, which they claim had no official numbers, and have issued Penn a new cell” why would they just stop it, it can be easily tracked. Part of it is true though, he did get a new phone replacement for his bloody one.

Wait…is that Kumar or Harold…either ways good actor 😉

OH NO!!!!! SECRETE SERVER GOTz ME AS I CLICKED SUBMIT!@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

    > Amy : There is no mention of the Secret Service trying to get the phone back. Them being notified by the gov’t is simply protocol. I’m pretty sure “official” numbers won’t be found on an item that can be easily misplaced. As I’m pretty sure cell phones have been lost prior to this event.

Any mention of gov’t in the media always bring up suspicions of conspiracies and cover-ups. In which century will people grow out of this paranoia?

Personally, I’m just glad Kal wasn’t harmed.

Um Shae, what do you think the Secret Service was called in for then? The police are the ones who go after petty criminals. The Secret Service protects government affairs. They’re not called in when someone’s mugged. Of course they want the phone back.

This is a phone that belongs to the government, a crime was committed it dosen’t have to contain a lot of phone numbers it can have just one piece of critical info that can affect the whole country, and strange enough it can affect the whole world at large, of course 911 affected everyone let the Secret Services do their job it’s better to be safe than to be sorry. That’s what they’re there for so please let them do their job.
