Carmen Electra

Date of Birth: April 20, 1972

Born Tara Leigh Patrick, Carmen Electra grew up near White Oak, Ohio, and attended Princeton High School, followed by the School of Creative and Performing Arts. Electra made the journey to L.A. in 1991 to pursue a singing career. A scout for "the artist formerly known as Prince" wanted her to audition for an all-girl rap group.

She soon signed with Prince's Paisley Park label and released a self-titled album in 1992, which was a flop.

Electra's career seemed to be on the rocks until she got a boost by posing for Playboy in 1996. Not only did she pose, but she was featured in the video Playboy Cheerleaders in which she sings a song entitled "2-4-6-8." Starting in March of 1997, she appeared in cartoon form as the model for a character who's a singer and a vampire in a comic book series called Embra.

Later that year, she finally made it onto MTV, but not as a singer.

She was chosen to replace Jenny McCarthy as co-host on Singled Out. Following that, she replaced another blonde star on Baywatch . She also returned to the magazine that made it all happen by appearing in Playboy's Nude Celebrities issue.

Electra made her feature film debut in the flop Good Burger. Luckily for her, she only played a small, uncredited role.

She then found herself in a number of low quality videos and films for the next few years.

She began the new millennium with two films, the horror movie spoof Scary Movie (2000), and Perfume (2001). More recently, she landed supporting roles in Uptown Girls (2003) and Starsky & Hutch (2004).

In 1998, she married basketball star Dennis Rodman, but they were divorced in April 1999, after less than a year of marriage.

In August 2001 she became engaged to musician David M. Navarro of the rock band Jane's Addiction and they were married November 22, 2003 in Las Vegas.
