Cozy and warm. Loved it.

Best place to see a movie. When the big theaters in town are sloppy with the quality this theater always has something great playing.
Not Run By Film Buffs

25 years ago, this theatre could hold its own against any indie/ art house cinema. Today, uninspired choices, and no classic revisionism make me wonder if ownership/management cares at all about making this a go to cinema for serious film lovers. And give Rocky Horror a rest already. The Globe has been more determined to do something different when they can. Hire a serious programmer who knows the audience this theatre is made for
Charm and quality

This is my favourite theatre in Calgary. Great films, great vibe, floors aren't sticky like the Cineplex.
Old and smelly

Too bad many of the small market films have to come to the Plaza....it's a definite disincentive not to see them. The theatre is old, cold and smells of old popcorn. Time for a redo and make it into a little jewel
Love the old Theatres

To bad we have to demolish all the old buildings and put up something with no character or warmth. Let the old buildings give our city some style.
Great location, but that's it

I am surprised that they have not demolished and rebuilt a better theatre in Kensington to play the same type of art-movies, as Calgary has one of the highest ratio of movie-goers in North America. Having The Plaza redeveloped into an even better venue in Kensington would be amazing, like in other cities like Vancouver with their VanCity Theatre downtown, Pacific Cinematique ... and even Winnipeg has a Cinematique. PS. Concession has Pepsi :(
