Celebrated Canadian playwright Daniel MacIvor’s Trigger opened TIFF's brand-new Bell Lightbox theatre with a bang. The triumphant opening was bittersweet: coloured by the recent passing of leading lady Tracy Wright, whose cancer diagnoses rushed the film into production, and who passed away shortly thereafter.
Tribute's Ola Sturik sits down with MacIvor and director Bruce McDonald to reflect on the outpouring of generosity that made Trigger possible, and the immense talent of the late Wright.
