Tackling the controversy of the Iraq War head-on, British director Ken Loach and screenwriter Paul Laverty reunite for their new film Route Irish, a character study of the traumatizing effects of war on the fragile psyche of veterans. Loach and Laverty sit down with Tribute’s Ola Sturik at TIFF 2010 to discuss their post-war drama, waterboarding and what Loach refers to as the “men in mourning of themselves.”
