Rachel Weisz and more still to be seen at TIFF

It's the final weekend of TIFF, but there is still plenty to see. Jennifer Hudson's new pic, Winnie, in which she plays Winnie Mandela, gets a gala screening tonight at 9:30 pm at Roy Thomson Hall. The film also stars Terrence Howard and Elias Koteas. At 6:30 pm at Roy Thomson, the intriguing thriller The Awakening gets a gala premiere screening. Set in 1921, Rebecca Hall plays an author/debunker of hoaxes who's asked to come and investigate sightings of a ghost boy. It also screens tomorrow morning (9:00 am at Scotiabank Theatre 1) but if you don't get a chance to see it at the fest, it will be distributed by Entertainment One to Canadian theaters at a later date -- it sounds like a film not to be missed. The closing night gala screening at Roy Thomson Hall is Page Eight, starring Rachel Weisz (pictured at left) and Bill Nighy, both of whom are scheduled to attend. Tribute will be hosting the afterparty and we'll have the details and photos from the event for you. Finally, on Sunday, the TIFF winners of prizes such as the People's Choice Award will be announced. A free screening of the People's Choice Award winner will then follow at Ryerson Theatre at 6 pm, but make sure to get there early -- tickets are handed out on a first-come basis.
