Tribute hosts David Hare, Bill Nighy at Page Eight afterparty

Tribute hosted the closing night TIFF afterparty for the gala screening of Page Eight, starring Golden-Globe award winner Bill Nighy and directed by two-time Oscar nominee Sir David Hare, at the newly opened upscale bistro La Société at 131 Bloor Street West. Other celebs in attendance were Steven Sabados and Chris Hyndman from CBC's Steven and Chris, Andrea Lewis from Degrassi: The Next Generation, Paula Brancati from CBC's Being Erica and Tattiawna Jones from CTV’s Flashpoint. After posing for our photographers, Bill and David mingled with various guests, including a number of people who'd mounted the Canadian premiere of David's play, Stuff Happens. Guests were served an assortment of unique cocktails, including a martini called the Skyy Ginger Pretty, Miller's Chill Mojito and Molson's M-Bellini. The event went on well into the morning hours as partygoers grew in number throughout the evening and mingled at the lengthy Parisian style zinc bar, surrounded by rich art nouveau decor under soft lighting. Enjoy the photos below -- we'll be posting more from the event on our Facebook page. Article and photos by Alexandra Heilbron
