Salman Rushdie is an essayist and famed novelist who actually sold his rights to his book Midnight's Children for one dollar per year on a two-year contract. Delving into the differences between screenwriting and novel writing, he took Tribute.ca through the process of creating the screenplay, taking a year to gradually find the essence of the book. The story is said to represent a time where people believed in infinite possibilities but their optimism was ultimately betrayed. Interview by Ola Sturik for Tribute Entertainment Media Group
