Based on director Tommy Oliver’s upbringing, 1982 is a story that centers on a father’s mission to shield his daughter from his mother’s substance abuse problem. Mother/daughter duo in the film, Sharon Leal and Troi Zee talk about acting outside their comfort zone and Wayne Brady’s great comic relief in this hard-hitting drama.
