Brotherhood of the Wolf Movie Synopsis

Set in 1776 France, a beast begins terrorizing the Gévaudan region, attacking mostly women and children. Some believe it's a huge wolf, or a dragon. Some say it's the devil. All of France, even the court of Louis XV, is affected by these unexplainable crimes. Enlisted by the King of France, a knight named Gregoire de Fronsac arrives in Gévaudan one autumn evening to solve the problem. The noble young man is accompanied by Mani, a Mohawk Indian whom he met in New France during the seven year war.

Both settle in with the old Marquis D'Apcher whose grandson, Thomas, is to serve as their guide. One evening during a party given in his honor, Fronsac meets Marianne De Morangias who is a member of one of the most influential families in the country.
