A teenage girl (Anna Paquin) and her family move into a remote, gloomy country house. But the house hides a secret; a terrible past, an inconceivably evil act involving seven children. After the family moves in, her father's temper gets worse. Her little brother is afraid. The lights keep going out. She realizes something is wrong, very wrong, but her mother won't listen to her.
She tries to save her family from the inevitable destiny that's closing in on them. But maybe it's too late...
it was alright, the previews made it look scarier
It was a great movie. Very spooky and frightening. The only problem was that Anna P. spoke very quietly and you couln`t hear her very well over the movie`s soundtrack. The grandfather`s accent made it difficult to understand what he said as well.
This movie had potential but it was ultimately ruined by bad editing. However, it`s a good rental for an uneventful Friday evening.
