For Love Of The Game Movie Synopsis

In this latest installment in the Kevin Costner baseball trilogy which includes Bill Durham and Field of Dreams Costner plays Billy Chapel, an aging hall-of-fame-bound pitcher who is facing retirement.

Billy loves his girlfriend (Kelly Preston) but ultimately, he's married to the game. That all changes when he finds out he's being traded to the New York Yankees. Simultaneously, his girlfriend, tired of being put on the backburner, announces she's leaving him. Billy has one final chance to prove who and what his is. While pitching a perfect game, he reminisces about the life he is now losing.
