Love Ranch Movie Synopsis

LOVE RANCH is an explosive, bittersweet love story that turns tragic when these tough, cynical professionals lose control and cross the line from business to personal.

In this fictional story that draws on many truths about Nevada's extremely successful Brothel Industry, Helen Mirren and Joe Pesci star as Grace and Charlie Bontempo, a husband/wife team who own and run one of Nevada's first legalized brothel ranches. Their lives are irrevocably altered when Armando Bruza (Sergio Peris-Mencheta), a world famous heavy weight boxer from South America, is brought to the Ranch to train as part of Charlie's ever expanding entrepreneurial empire. Plans quickly go awry when Bruza comes between Grace and Charlie as an unforeseen romantic triangle develops that erupts into uncontrollable passion and murder.

Awful movie. Poor writing and poor direction. Just a mess frankly. One of the worst movies I've seen in years.

  Entertaining. Helen Mirren doesn't disappoint.

Helen Mirren as usual steals the show. Her performance is both hard-nosed and vulnerable and she draws you in to her sordid world. Joe Pesci is smarmy and the perfect whorehouse owner..can't keep his hands out of the cookie jar. Joe wants it all and in the end loses everything. Shocking ending!
