My Own Private Idaho Movie Synopsis
A narcoleptic male prostitute (Phoenix), and the son (Reeves) of the mayor of Portland join to re-tell
a modern-day version of Shakespeare's Henry IV, Part II. For those who have read the Shakespearian
history plays, Reeves plays the part of Prince Hal and Richert plays his overweight jolly old friend,
Falstaff.
This film is designed to help the viewer understand what it was like for Prince Hal to feel in King
Henry IV.
This movie is a classic.....When I first saw this movie I was so surprised to see such great acting by River and Keanu. Most critics to this day say this was Reeves best acting of all time. The direction of the movie was also very good.....This movie will not be understood by everyone.....
